Vintage Yamaha fans know the 365s to be one of the first Yamaha production guitars to have a solid Sitka spruce top. This is Yamaha's version of a Martin D-35 and the 365s model debuted in 1977 and existed in the line-up until 1981.
It features a beautiful 3-piece laminated rosewood back and laminated rosewood sides with binding, mahogany neck with diamond inlays, and a rosewood fretboard. This model has a tortoise pickguard indicating it is one of the earlier versions from the late 1970s.
This 365 is in fair condition or about what you'd expect for a 40+ year-old guitar. That said, it is not road beaten and was bedroom guitar not a gigging machine. There are nicks and some rough edges on the headstock and some stains on the back. The tuners have some pitting and patina. A thorough cleaning and polish will go a long way to having a great vintage Yamaha conversation piece.
