Michael Walch, luthier of Trenchtown Guitars in Oakley, CA, built this custom neck-through CB-1. It features a Cumaru [Brazilian Teak] neck with Central African Wenge body wings attached to create the compact body shape. The inspiration for the shape is a cigar box design.
The fretboard is Rosewood and it is ready to play with perfect Gold Evo fret wire set up for easy fingering, The neck fingerboard has gold abalone inlay fret markers and precision gold tuners. The bridge is a front loading compensating gold Schaller bridge with intonation adjustability for perfect set ups with any guitar string gauge.
The Pickups are a Stewart MacDonald GoldenAge Humbucker on the neck, and a Fender Texas Special Single Coil Pickup on bridge. It is all wired up with a 5-way switch enabling coil splitting on the humbucker.
It has a brand new hard shell case! For more images check out the YouTube picture collage below.Â
