Here's a fine example of the Gibson J-50, built in 1972 in the Kalamazoo MI plant. The J-50 was essentially a blonde version of the J-45, with the same solid spruce top, and mahogany back and sides.

This guitar has had all the work that's frequently needed for a guitar of this vintage. The neck has been reset, a new rosewood bridge, and it's been refretted. The result is a fantastic guitar that plays and sounds like a vintage Gibson should. The finish is in pretty remarkable shape, with few dings or scratches and no checking is evident.

A vintage case is included (we aren't certain whether it's original), and it has definitely seen some miles and stages. Still functional, but has one broken latch, and a rope handle.

Specs:
Mahogany back and sides
Mahogany neck
Rosewood fretboard
